The district collector of Thiruvannamalai, Mr Prashant Wadnere invited Soulfree founder, Preethi Srinivasan as a special guest and speaker at the Thiruvannamalai Book Fair. She was also recognised and felicitated for winning the “Kalpana Chawla Award For Courage and Daring Enterprise” from the State government.
As it was the district collector himself who had nominated Preethi for the award, she requested him to hand over the award to her in gratitude for deeming code her worthy of the prestigious honour.
She also spoke to the receptive audience about the immense power of books and the need to inculcate the habit of reading in young children.
