From Support to Independence
Soulfree seeks your contribution in this journey of Support to Independence.

Join The Cause To Empower
For the benefit of potential donors, an overview of Soulfree’s support to beneficiaries along with estimated cost details have been provided below. Please note that the estimated cost is broadly indicative as of March 2025. Donors, depending on their capacity can sponsor either fully or partly towards a program of their choice.
Donation towards Wheelchair
Wheelchairs are essential tools for PwSCI. They provide mobility and the ability to manage daily activities. Besides, wheelchairs help prevent deformities by maintaining stable positioning. Feeling comfortable and confident in their wheelchair positively impacts an individual’s self-esteem and overall physical and mental well-being. Besides, Soulfree also provides shower wheelchair to certain differently-abled persons.
Donation towards Wheelchair Cushion
Cushions provide a stable base for the wheelchair user. They help maintain proper posture and stability, which is crucial for function and comfort. Wheelchair cushions distribute pressure evenly, reducing the risk of pressure ulcers. Besides, comfortable cushions enhance overall user function by providing support and reducing fatigue during prolonged sitting.
Donation towards Airbed
Airbeds create a supportive surface, conform to the body, thus reducing pressure points and promoting healing of bedsore wounds. Airbeds adjust automatically to the user’s movements, redistributing pressure and preventing bedsores.
Donation towards Medical Bed
Hospital cots are provided with side rails that prevent accidental falls during sleep. For someone with limited mobility due to a spinal cord injury, these rails provide essential safety. Further, sleeping on the floor in huts / rural areas often poses a risk of snakebite, rat bite, etc. which the beneficiary will not be even able to feel and can lead to death and/or other complications.
Donation towards Gift Box
Most of Soulfree’s beneficiaries come from socio-economically challenged segments of society. Therefore, they may not get some of the daily essentials and medical items from their family. Soulfree’s ‘Gift Box’ comprises more than 40 individualised medical and day-to-day essentials to support the beneficiaries.
Donation towards Monthly Stipend
Select beneficiaries are paid between Rs. 2000 and Rs. 5000 per month for 6 to 12 months to tide over their financial difficulties, especially women and those who are newly injured and living with little or no income. Besides, the stipend helps to provide for their day-to-day medical and other essential expenses.
Testimonials

KASTURI RAMBABU (TELENGANA)
This quiet and soft-natured man had reached Soulfree all the way from Telangana as he was so inspired by watching YouTube videos of our founder. He had sustained a spinal-cord injury in a road traffic accident, but desperately wanted to walk, work and take care of his family. He did not want to be dependent anymore. After rehab, he is extremely happy, confident and able to walk with crutches. He feels strongly that he will be able to return home and resume his business of running a grocery shop successfully.
SIVAGAMI R (TIRUVANNAMALAI)
She came to Soulfree as a broken individual with no wish to live. Initially, she was depressed, very quiet and unwilling to make eye contact. However, with regular counselling and interactions with our founder, she blossomed and courageously decided that she would walk on her own and become financially self-sufficient so that she could live life on her own terms and not be dependent on her family or anybody else. At time of discharge she was able to walk with a single stick, had learnt tailoring and other skills and was confident to become financially self-reliant.
SRINIVASAN E (KRISHNAGIRI)
Srinivasan was working in Mumbai when he met with an accident at the age of 24 years. He had a loving wife who was 21 years old with a six-month-old daughter to take care of. He was devastated at having become a quadriplegic. His young wife, while still breastfeeding their child, was left alone to care for him. Soon he developed severe bed sores all over his body to the extent that he would have not survived had he not come to the Soulfree INSPIRE Centre. Using VAC therapy and with love, care and personal attention, he has healed tremendously well and is seen zooming around in his motorised wheelchair these days.
