Soulfree has always known that a good hospital bed is an essential requirement for many persons with Spinal Cord Injury, especially those with higher level injuries. We have provided beds in the past based on need, but this is our first Comprehensive Hospital Bed Drive. We have succeeded in providing 22 hospital beds to those forced to lie on the floor due to dire financial conditions, with pressure sores. This drive was completed in Feb 2020.
Why Hospital Bed?
Immobility leads to static postures for long hours causing massive pressure sores (shearing of damaged skin), leading to Septicaemia wherein the severity of pressure sores causes morbidity.
