he recently concluded Anandha Vikatan Cinema Awards brings together the most powerful and famous names of Tamil cinema. Soulfree founder, Preethi Srinivasan was filled with gratitude for being given the opportunity to be present on such a magnificent platform. As the voice of the large but largely unseen Positively-Abled segment of society, she spoke poignantly of the lack of accessibility in movie theatres and brought forth a plea to build a more inclusive and wheelchair-friendly India!
“Danush sir said , ” To me my fans are most important ” ..Isn’t it? I’m also your fan sir, But one thing! Till today, If and when i wish to see your movie in theatres, I cannot get inside any theater (Screen) Ain’t i a human? Shouldn’t i watch your movies in theater just because i cannot walk? Wouldn’t the theater owners do the needful if you say “If my Films has to be screened in theaters, It must be accessible to every single fan of mine? Plese consider us too, As human beings! This is my humble request ! ”

Now, the question remains, will Preethi’s request be heard and will thousands like her be able to simply watch a movie with the dignity everyone deserves.
