Soulfree founder Preethi Srinivasan was invited to be an expert panellist for a special panel discussion regarding disability rights, assistive technology and possibilities for greater inclusion in Indian society, for an event conducted by the International Red Cross Society.
The event was presided by Mr Jeremy London, the head of the IRCS while the chief guest was the honourable Minister Rao Inderjit Singh, who is the president of the Paralympic Association of India.
Preethi spoke strongly about the struggles of women with disability, the need for medical rehabilitation, infrastructural support and government assistance in uplifting and empowering persons living with severe disabilities in India, like spinal-cord injury.
