INSPIRE Centre

Soulfree’s sincere service to this most vulnerable segment of society was recognised by the Government of Tamil Nadu and the Government provided a building within the Old General Hospital of Tiruvannamalai, which has been renovated and expanded to set up a 20,000 sq. ft wheelchair accessible INtegrated SPInal REhabilitation (INSPIRE) Centre.

On December 03, 2021, the Tamil Nadu Chief Minister Thiru M. K. Stalin gave wings to India’s first INSPIRE - INtegrated SPInal REhabilitation Centre. This milestone gave wings to provide holistic services to persons affected by spinal cord injury, thereby removing the millstone of lack of comprehensive infrastructure. It is pertinent to note that every year December 03 is considered as the International Day of Persons with Disabilities.
