Manimaran, a 25-year old Engineer, was an easy go lucky youngster with a passion for bikes and machines, until he met with an accident in 2022. He became completely dependent on his parents who were porters. At the time of admission at INSPIRE Centre, he needed support for all his activities, was in pain due to spasticity and tightness, and depressed about the future.
Now, he is able to work without calipers with just one crutch. He has increased his body strength phenomenally through sheer hard work and physiotherapy. His tightness and spasticity are nearly gone and he is completely independent. Above all Manimaran says “Soulfree not only made me walk but gave me awareness of right lifestyle (appreciates highly of food served).” He talks about the community support where he shares and expresses his ideas, feelings and the peer communication. He is ready to return to mainstream society and become an entrepreneur himself, by opening a vehicle repair and spare parts business.
