Soulfree celebrated its 10 years of dedicated service in 2023. Diverse events were conducted over a period of 16 days, details of which are captured in the below two documents.

The founder of Amar Seva Sangam, Shri. S Ramakrishnan-ji visited Soulfree INSPIRE Centre on November 10, 2025. His visit was very encouraging and motivating to all in Soulfree.

Shri. S. Ramakrishnan was awarded “Padma Shri 2020” by the Government of India, for his unstinted dedication and determination in serving the disabled. Amar Seva Sangam, established in 1981, has been playing a pioneering role in empowering disabled citizens.
The 25th annual conference of International Spine and Injury Conference (ISSICON) took place in Chennai from October 31 to November 02, 2025.

The International Purple Fest took place at Goa from October 9 to 12, 2025.

Soulfree conducted its Fourth Annual Maathiyosi Event for three days from September 5 to 7, 2025. Maathiyosi is Soulfree’s way of rewriting the story – celebrating courage and spirit of PwSCI through shared experiences, laughter, and love. These three days mark a rare and radiant opportunity for celebration, solidarity, and social change.
This year’s events went very well with diverse visitors infusing courage and confidence amongst Residents of Soulfree.

On August 01, 2025, the Trustees, Advisors, and Management Committee of Soulfree organised a Felicitation Ceremony for Mrs. Vijayalakshmi Srinivasan and Dr. Preethi Srinivasan to celebrate the memorable milestone of Preethi becoming the First Quadriplegic to be conferred a Doctoral Degree by IIT Madras.
Dr. V Kamakoti, Director IIT Madras was the Chief Guest and Ms. Gautami Tadimalla, renowned Actor, Social Worker, and Founder of Life Again Foundation was the Guest of Honour.
Other dignitaries such as Mrs. Meera Nagarajan, CEO Kalyanamalai Matrimony, Mr. K S Kandasamy, IAS Officer, and Mr. Jayendra Panchapakesan graced the event.
This event was one more opportunity for Dr. Preethi to honour and pay her gratitude to her Guide Dr. Hemachandran Karah, Associate Professor, Department of Humanities and Social Sciences, IIT-Madras and Co-Guide Dr. Sujatha Srinivasan Professor, Department of Mechanical Engineering, IIT-Madras.
Also, the redesigned Soulfree website was launched on this memorable occasion.

At the 62nd convocation of IIT Madras, held on July 11, 2025, Ms. Preethi Srinivasan was conferred Doctor of Philosophy by the Department of Humanities and Social Sciences.

On April 19, 2025, Pujyasri Ramanacharana Tirtha Swamigal visited Soulfree INSPIRE Centre to deliver a spiritual discourse.
His presence and lecture energised the Residents. The team at Soulfree is grateful to the Swamigal for visiting and gracing the Residents.
On April 17, 2025, a fire mock drill was undertaken at Soulfree INSPIRE Centre in coordination and guidance from the Tamil Nadu Fire and Rescue Services Department, Tiruvannamalai.

On April 14, 2025, on the occasion of the onset of Tamil New Year, the Residents of Soulfree were taken to Yogi Ramsuratkumar Ashram. At the Ashram, Ma Devaki Mataji and other disciples, provided spiritual blessings on all the Residents of Soulfree.
Soulfree, periodically facilitates diverse entertainment activities for the Residents at the INSPIRE Centre. On April 5, 2025, Sing-for-a-cause was organised wherein Jotheyali Mr. Madhu and team from Bangalore visited the INSPIRE Centre and enthralled the Residents with their musical performance.

On April 02, 2025, a team of officials from KONE Elevator India Private Limited visited Soulfree INSPIRE Centre.
As part of its CSR, KONE has been supporting Soulfree in its endeavours to enhance the rehab goals and services.
On March 27, 2025, Soulfree organised the Prevention of Sexual Harassment (POSH) session by inviting a renowned person in this field to create awareness and foster respectful relationships amongst its employees.
On March 25, 2025, Soulfree was pleased to receive officials from Entrust Software Company.
The company’s contribution continues to support Soulfree’s initiatives.
International Women’s Day:
The Mother of Mother’s day was celebrated on March 8, 2025 to recognise the immense service of Mrs. Vijayalakshmi Amma, the mother of Ms. Preethi Srinivasan.
The chief guest for the function was Dr. Subbulakshmi. Indeed it was a proud moment honouring Amma for being instrumental in starting Soulfree and reshaping the rehabilitation needs of Persons with Spinal Cord Injury and eventually energising them to be Positively Abled.

Mr. Gandhiraj appreciated Soulfree’s services and highlighted the positive impact of our work on the community. His presence enhanced the event’s significance and will be a memorable experience for the Residents.
As directed by Kanchi Kamakoti Peetadhipati Jagadguru Pujyashri Shankara Vijayendra Saraswathi Shankaracharya Swamigal, disciples from the Mutt visited Soulfree INSPIRE Centre on January 22, 2025, to understand our profound services to the society.
On January 21, 2025, Dr. Suchitra, a renowned cardiologist from Australia, visited Soulfree’s INSPIRE Centre along with her husband, Mr. Satish.
They are supporting Soulfree through the Australian Rotary Club.
The team at Soulfree gave them a complete tour of the Centre’s activities, and they were deeply inspired by the holistic approach to rehabilitation.
