When Soulfree provided gift boxes for persons with spinal cord injury last year during the festive occasion of Deepavali, we were overwhelmed by the joyous response we received from one and all. It is truly an immense pleasure and privilege to have this opportunity to give to people who have never felt love, who have never received gifts of appreciation in their lives.

So, for this Tamil New Year (April 14, 2016) we have already made arrangements for 50 gift boxes that
will contain not only joy, but will also fulfil many medical and other hygiene requirements, apart from the usual sweet and savoury treats.

Not only that, the women in our group will receive special goodies like a jewellery set and a plate. The value of every gift box is sure to be over Rs. 1000.

Gratitude must surely be given to local volunteers from ‘Cuckoo’ – a community school with a back to nature philosophy, as well as volunteers from the team of ‘Care and Welfare’, who sent a daring team of young engineers all the way from Chennai to assist us in the massive purchase, organisation and packaging operation. The gift boxes turned out to be quite large, to the extent that the Post Office refused to send them. They have been carefully despatched through a reliable courier service.

We wish to thank our generous contributors, who have unfailingly come forward to support all our endeavours. None of this would be possible without your encouragement and blessing of our efforts, and we hope that it will continue now and always. Please do spread the word about our work and if you wish to sponsor any of the gift boxes, please log onto our website www.Soulfree.org and click on the ‘Donate Now’ button.
