When Soulfree provided gift boxes for persons with spinal cord injury last year during the festive occasion of Deepavali, we were overwhelmed by the joyous response we received from one and all. It is truly an immense pleasure and privilege to have this opportunity to give to people who have never felt love or received gifts of appreciation in their lives.

So, for THIS Deepavali, we have made provisions to brighten the lives of 108 beneficiaries, who will receive gift boxes that will contain not only joy, but will also fulfil many medical and other hygiene requirements, apart from the usual sweet and savoury treats. Not only that, the women in our group will receive special goodies like a jewellery set and a hair clip. The value of every gift box is approximately Rs. 1500. We wish to express our deepest gratitude to the Managing Director of “Daisy Merchandisers” for so generously funding this auspicious project.

I must also convey my heart-felt thanks to volunteers from the Rotaract Club of Thiruvannamalai Vegan (Suraj, Karthik, Thamizhazhagan), Ibrahim, Shankar, Hemath Raj, Hariharan, Gnanasekaran, Sudhakar and Sugu from the team of ‘Care and Welfare’ without whose hard work this tremendous task would not have been successful. All our efforts have been made possible only becau​se of your encouragement and blessing, and we hope that it will continue now and always.
