Soulfree Founder, Preethi Srinivasan was bestowed with the Rex Karmaveer Chakra Award (instituted with the UN and issued by iCONGO – International Confederation of NGOs for more than 11 years now) at an exclusive event held between 25-27 November 2016 in New Delhi.

The aim of the REX KARMAVEER GLOBAL FELLOWSHIP (RKGF) is to recognize people who have the courage of conviction to think differently and walk the path less trodden and to act on alternative/ innovative ideas which may make a difference in our world. The fact that Preethi was chosen for this great honour is proof that the work Soulfree has been doing in the last three years is beginning to get recognition on a national and international level.

“I wish to say that I accept this honour as a representative of an entire segment of society that is treated as invisible and dispensable in Indian society. As long as there’s breath in my body, I will keep working to ensure that the “disabled” are provided with opportunities in rehabilitation, education, entrepreneurship, employment and sports so that they can be completely reintegrated into society and become “Positively-Abled”! I must convey my heartfelt thanks to REX founder Mr Jeroninio Almeida and the entire team of Rex for deeming me worthy of this award.”
