Soulfree founder, Preethi Srinivasan was bestowed with the Bhoomika award by Eastern Condiments, one of India’s biggest spice exporting company. She was chosen for the award for the courage and determination with which she has overcome all the apparent obstacles in her life, and her tremendous work in empowering persons living with severe disabilities like spinal-cord injury, especially women in India.

Preethi said, “I was so happy, humbled and honoured to receive ​such a prestigious award from to receive the Bhoomika award from one of my heroines, Mrs Shantha Sheela Nair one of the most honest and uncompromising IAS officers I’ve had the good fortune of meeting. Despite her seemingly stern demeanour, she turned out to be so kind and sweet, it left me totally speechless! And, to top it all off, to receive this award for Women’s Day made it an experience I will always cherish.”
